It is now official that the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard will be shipped on August 28 for only $29. Please note that this is only for Intel-powered Macs and those who have OS X 10.5 installed. The good thing is that you can find discounts all over the web for almost everything, including Snow Leopard. MacMall is selling Mac OS X 10.6 for only $24.99, but shipping is not free. $3 ground shipping while overnight will cost $5. Too sad as Apple is delivering you this beauty for free.

However if you are going to get the full Mac Box Set which normally costs $169, then ordering it from MacMall will be better as it will cost you only $149.99. The upgrade family pack will costs $43.99, while the Mac Box Set family pack only $199.99. It’s not too much, but it’s something. We’re still going through a recession and saving money it’s a good thing. Just think that you can save $20 from here, $10 from there, $5 from here and there, and other $40-50 from wherever you can.
